We live under the oppression of the time warner monopoly, hard to know where anything comes from as they continuously change things around in an effort to keep their operating costs as low as dirt and provide us with the absolute minimum service allowed by law. Can you tell i love them?:D
The big 5 in my area are Verizon Fios,Comcast,Cablevision,Direct TV,Dish Network and they are all trying to cut each others throats and pull customers from one another. So we get pretty decent service. And cheaper if you stick with the basic service. We can get internet,tv,phone for $100 month,I'm pretty sure that Comcast and Verizon are still offering that pkg.:)
Les Paul fans, check out this little vid of Les Paul talking about McIntosh Amps & ALTECS !:D Match made in Heaven! :2thumbsup:

Some of my favorites are in no particular order.
Mark Knopfler
JJ Cale
John Prine
Brent Mason
Hope Sandoval
Sonny Landreth
Your Welcome ! I enjoyed it just as much as you did.Nothing like a piece of Music history.Funny part about Chet Atkins down on his hands and knees trying to get a glimpse of Les's equipment.Back in those days audio was progressing by leaps and bounds on a daily basis.Another good part was the guys sitting at the table discussing how to improve the amplification.(Meeting of the Minds) ;)
Jerry Reed and Chet together is just plain fun!

SteveMac, ...I think we have some shared interests.
Jerry's become a favorite.
Love Chet's 'Me and Jerry' album.
Just gave away a bunch of nice condition Chet albums to a fellow Altec user in fact.
I'll add:
Howard Roberts Quartet
(if anyone has a decent copy of Jaunty-Jolly (1967) Capitol ST-2716, please, please, save it from the trash for me... )
...and of course, we can't forget Mose Allison.
For those of us under-somethings out there, I'll add the prolific Frank Black (include Pixies if you care to), and the oft-maligned Pavement.
...and will suggest perusing the now-defunct The Soft Drugs's In Moderation and Get back - side a.
...for which to d/l, you can 'name your price' via TW Walsh.
The problem with these threads, is they are like potato chips.
So: and also Paul Edelman, who used to be in Phila, now playing around Asheville NC afaik.
